Bioavailable organic carbon source for the planted aquarium

Use as an alternative to CO2 injection or in addition to it

Introduces photosynthetic intermediates

When you are looking at creating your first planted aquarium you have to initially decide whether you want to do High tec , or low tech , with regards to the infusion of CO2 gas into the water . If you went for the low tech solution wouldn't it be good to have a compromise between and all in CO2 system and a slow growth set up ? Well your prayers have now been answered in the product which is " Seachem Flourish Excel "

One of the first things young children are taught at school is that animals breath Oxygen and exhale CO2 , while plants take in CO2 during the day and release Oxygen . This is called photosynthesis , where plants used the energy in sunlight to convert Co2 and water to sugar and oxygen . The more Co2 in the air means the more plant growth there is

Flourish Excel is an additive for aquascaped aquariums that you can use as an alternative to CO2 injection . You simply add the Flourish Excel liquid each day to your aquarium and it becomes the carbon source for your plants . We don't claim that Flourish Excel would have the same growth rate as using CO2 but it is a great option available to you at a fraction of the cost , you just need to be a little more patient . For those of you already using a CO2 unit the addition of flourish excel into your aquarium could see a substantial benefit and is really useful for situations when continuing to add CO2 could result in very high pH levels.

Another benefit of Seachem Flourish Excel is that it has iron reducing properties which enhance the ferrous state of iron which is more easily utilized that ferric iron (Iron can exist in a number of different energy states but basically it occurs most frequently as Fe3+ (ferric)this is useless to plants as they can’t absorb it, plants need iron as Fe2+ (ferrous)

On initial use or after a major (> 40%) water change, use (5 mL) for every 40L
