Hardwickii or Hardwick's Wrasse as they are also known, are a beautiful marine fish. Unfortunately, as nice as these fish are, they are not suitable for reef aquariums, as they are likely to feed on some of their inhabitants. Make sure this is the last fish to be added to the aquarium as they do become territorial and will harass any newcomers. Growing up to 20cm, these fish can be kept an aquarium at least 400 litres in capacity. The aquarium needs to have 5-8cm of sand (for the Wrasse to hide in if required), lots of rocks, corals, and good, strong filtration. Keep with other hardy fish such as Angels, Tangs or Triggers and feed a mix of pellets, live and frozen marine foods.
