Cyclosternum schmardae - Peruvian Yellow Banded Tarantula
This is a small to medium sized spider originating from Peru, Ecuador, Colombia. This spider is brown/grey in colour with a cream/yellow bands on the leg joints. This species is not considered defensive but will urticate ( flick irritating hairs from the abdomen) if stressed. This species requires a temperature of 20 degrees C and humidity in the range of 70% - 80%. C. schmardae can be recommended for beginners and the novice keeper.
