Bumba horrida – Brazilian red head
This is a small to medium sized spider originating from Brazil in South America. This is a black/brown spider with a red/pink/orange carapace. This is considered to be a calm species but if startled it will flick urticating hairs from its abdomen. This species requires a temperature of around 25 degrees C and a relative humidity of 70% - 80%. This species can be recommended for the beginner or novice keeper.
